Walter de Beauvesier Watson , Managing Partner and Founder
Having joined De Lotto from 1983 until april 2018, Walter de Beauvesier Watson has built up a large experience in the marketing and operations of lotteries and sportsbetting. He has been involved in several product introductions and was responsible for the trading and riskmanagement of Sportsbetting. He has also been acting as the Chairman of the workscouncil in which he has lead the employees' negociations in the merger between De Lotto and Staatsloterij.
On an international level he was the Chairman of the European Lotteries (EL) Sport Working Group. In this position he has represented EL in many sport-related panels and was also the EL representative in the EU Expert Group “Economic Dimension of Sport”. Furthermore he was the Chairman of the Working Committee of the Global Lotteries Monitoring System (GLMS).
At national level, Walter has built up very positive relations between the Lottery and the national sport organisations, has lead the De Lotto's fight against negative phenomena, like matchfixing and was a member of the Dutch National Platform Matchfixing.
Walter holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration (specialization in New Business, Innovation & Entrepreneurship) at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He also holds a Bachelor degree in Management, Economics and Law (specialization in International Business and International Finance) from The Hague University. Furthermore he has been educated in Marketing and Marketing Communications.
Besides his work for the ISICS Group, Walter is also a lecturer at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration.
